Dr Campbell was Dux of his school attended medical school at the University of Queensland and is the youngest person to complete urological training, he completed his Urological fellowship and was asked and stayed on as a consultant at the Institute of Urology which was part of the University College Hospitals London one of the most prestigious urological institutions in the world.
Dr Campbell felt early on in his training that if impotence and incontinence are a consequence or common side effect of prostatic surgery that he needed to be able to expertly manage both these conditions. This sparked an interest in prosthetic surgery which has resulted in Dr Campbell being one of the highest volume penile prosthesis implanters in Australia having performed over one thousand implants. He has been a part of expert panels and has been an implant-mentor to other urologists and urological trainees as well as being the Director of urological departments and supervisor of urological training.
He was a fellow in andrology which is subspecialty of urology that deals with male infertility and erectile dysfunction.
Dr Campbell enjoyed the United Kingdom and as a keen rugby player was sad to leave London French the club he played at while in London but was always going to return home to Queensland and live at the southern end of the Gold Coast where he enjoys the lifestyle on offer with his family and the professional support of his colleagues.
